Weather Reports

This system is the portal into the weather reporting system.  This consists of micro-controller based sensors which report local conditions to a centralised database.  The graphs presented on this site are drawn from the database.

The sensors are typically Arduino devices supporting temperature, humidity and barometric pressure sensors.  The Arduino is connected via WiFi to the Internet and publishes local readings every minute or so.  The MQTT protocol is used to publish data to a broker.  Other clients subscribe to this broker and receive the readings.  One particular client runs a Python script which processes the local readings and inserts records in the database.

The graphs are available at the following links.  These dashboards will open in a new page.
